About DSSA Open Days

The Design School Southern Africa holds a number of Open Days each year with the purpose of providing more information to interested learners about our Full Time Course options as well as industry expectations.

9:30	Opening & Welcome
9:45	Presentation
	> Graphic Design
	> Fashion Design
	> Interior Design
10:30	Interviews

Please note that DSSA's Open Days are open to all prospective learners (and their parents), however interviews will only be scheduled for those applicants in Grade 12 (Matric) or above.

Entry Requirements (for Full Time Courses)

1. Current Matric learners - latest Matric results
2. Post Matric learners - any qualification equivalent to Matriculation Certificate or
   Higher with exemption for degree studies
3. An M-score of 12 or above
4. A portfolio of 5 - 8 artworks which will be assessed during a scheduled interview

What to bring to your interview

1. Your portfolio of artwork
2. Current Matric learners - an original (or certified) copy of latest Matric results
3. Post Matric learners - an original (or certified) copy of qualification equivalent to Matriculation Certificate or Higher
4. Your original ID, or certified copy of your ID

Applying for Academic Credit

Students who already have a portfolio of sufficient maturity (at the discretion of DSSA) may apply for exemptions. Candidates with appropriate qualifications may also apply for exemptions on a subject-for-subject basis.
